The Family Ecolodge is a place where you can take your time to enjoy your stay and to log off from your screens. For this reason, bookings can only be made from 2 nights (excluding public holidays) and 3 nights in July and August.
Safari Tent – Safari atmosphere and Glamping spirit of the vacations in the spacious Safari Tent, faithful to the tents found in the animal reserves in Africa. These canvas and wood tents of about 60 m2, are equipped with a private bathroom and a kitchen, 3 sleeping spaces to accommodate 4 to 8 people: 1 master bedroom with double canopy bed, 1 children’s room with 4 single beds (bunk beds), and a cabin bed 160×200 (closed bed with a cabin underneath). This is the camping version of luxury, calm and nature.
Safari tents and lodges are accommodations fully integrated into nature. On their side, wild animals (squirrels, dormice, birds of all kinds) have integrated these accommodations into their natural habitat, and can therefore evolve on the roof, under the terrace or around the accommodation. In the same way, you stay in the countryside, in a canvas accommodation, in which you will hear all the sounds of nature and the environment. In the countryside it is normal to hear cows bellowing, dogs barking, a farmer harvesting his field or making hay, the sound of rain falling on the roof of the tent, thunder etc. Sleeping in these canvas accommodations sometimes means hearing the sounds of nature or the countryside, so it’s not suitable if you need absolute silence to sleep!
The safari lodge tent is a vacation rental of the Family Ecolodge, the eco-insolite lodge located in Puisaye, between the Loire Valley and Bourgogne. Here the vacations are ecological, authentic and unusual. The Ecolodge is located in the old farms of La Borde, between Briare, St Fargeau and Treigny, and about twenty minutes from Gien or Guédelon.
Looking for a vacation rental in France in camping, a weekend with girls or a glamping weekend? Our unusual “Safari Tent” accommodations are located in Batilly-en-Puisaye, on the border of the regions Centre Val de Loire (Loiret, Cher, Indre, Indre-et-Loire, Loir-et-Cher) and Bourgogne Franche-Comté (Yonne, Nièvre, Saône et Loire, Côte d’Or, Doubs, Jura, Haute-Saône, Belfort) between Treigny and the medieval castle of Guédelon and Briare – Pont-Canal, Gien. From Brussels (Belgium), it’s only 4h30 by car.
An ideal location for a glamping vacation in France, to discover the Loire by bike, the first castles of the Loire (St Brisson, Gien and Sully sur Loire), the site of Guédelon (construction site of a fortified castle with the same techniques as in the 13th century in Treigny – Yonne) and the vineyards of Sancerre, Chablis, but also vineyards off the beaten track and that we will be happy to help you discover.
You can also combine your stay at the Ecolodge with a discovery tour in France, and complete your discovery of our region with a trip to Paris (1h30 from Family Ecolodge), Champagne (2 hours), Auvergne (1h30) or the Loire Valley (1h30 from Chambord).
